The Tennessee Chapter of the Nature Conservancy (TNC) is hiring a Civil Engineer specializing in watershed restoration. This position will be embedded within the Engineering Staff area in the Cherokee National Forest (CNF) Supervisor’s Office in Cleveland, TN and will work in partnership with the USDA Forest Service (FS) and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) on priority watershed restoration projects across public-private boundaries in East Tennessee. Environmental Defense Fund has a new job opening for a Manager to conduct analysis and foster collaboration on the science and hydrology of coastal, riverine, and compound flood risks and solutions to inform planning, policy, and community engagement. Wildlands Engineering, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to join our Charleston, SC office. Duties include performing stream and wetland ecological assessments, geomorphic data collection, wetland delineations, endangered and threatened species surveys, and vegetation inventories and compiling environmental permit applications and technical reports. The Environmental Scientist’s role will involve both field and office work and meeting deadlines in a fast‐paced work environment. The Environmental Scientist will also be responsible for monitoring and documenting site conditions and working collaboratively with a multi‐disciplinary team.

Stewardship Associate

Wildlands Engineering, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to join the growing team in our Charlotte, NC office. The Stewardship Associate will develop, coordinate, and implement land management activities for a variety of stream, wetland, and other restoration sites. Land management activities involve promoting the long‐term ecological health of project sites necessary to support project success and ecological design. Work relates to native plant community enhancement, invasive species management, stream stabilization, conservation easement compliance, landowner relations, and wildlife management. The Stewardship Associate will both lead land management efforts on assigned restoration sites and assist other stewardship staff members on other sites. Work will also occasionally involve addressing infrastructure and general maintenance issues on sites.

Wildlands Engineering is seeking a dynamic individual to join our growing company in any of our five offices. We are looking for a water resources engineer or environmental designer with a background in stream and wetland design, stormwater management, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, construction document production, and construction management. This position will work with project managers and assist with complex ecosystem restoration projects through assessment, design, permitting, and construction. Projects may include design of streams, wetlands, and watershed improvements; hydrologic and hydraulic models; watershed planning; and/or new and retrofit stormwater best management practices (BMPs). This position may require occasional overnight travel and frequent outdoor field work.
